Wow! We aren’t even halfway through our Winter Reading Program and you’ve already met our system-wide goal of 500 books!
Through this program, patrons can choose to log their reading in a print log available at all 30 of our library branches or online here. Patrons who participate online are working together to meet our system-wide goal, which you have already exceeded!
So we are bumping up the goal for our online participants to 1,000 books!
If you haven’t signed up for our program yet, please do! There is still plenty of time to log your books read and contribute to our overall tally. The program runs through the end of February.
Our reading program is designed to encourage pleasure reading during the cold winter months and to create opportunities for people to come together as a community. Many of our libraries are offering winter-themed crafts and will hold drawings for prizes for people who meet their personal reading goals.
So far, 71 people have signed up for the program and have collectively read 519 books.
The focus of our Winter Reading Program is all about meeting personal goals. To help you meet your goals, our staff have put together reading recommendations for adult and young adult books.
Keep up the good work!
