Our all-ages Winter Reading Program begins this month and runs through the end of February.
The program is designed to encourage pleasure reading during the cold winter months and to create opportunities for people to come together as a community.
You can participate in Winter Reading in two ways this year. You can choose to log the books you’ve read in a printed reading log, available at any of our library branches, or sign up online. Either way, you can set a personal goal (the number of books you want to read)
We have a system-wide goal of reading 500 books this winter!
If you bring in a completed reading log, showing that you have met your personal reading goal, you will receive a completion certificate. The focus of Winter Reading is all about meeting personal goals!
Many of our libraries will also offer adult winter-themed crafts, such as lighted paper trees, wood-slice ornaments and organic garland. Some of our libraries will have drawings for prizes at the end of the program.
Please stop by your local library and check out some books, or download an ebook or audiobook with your library card on Hoopla, Overdrive or Libby.
Happy reading!
