We have openings on the Teen Library Council for the 2024-25 school year.

The Teen Library Council offers youth in grades 8-12 in Chelan, Douglas, Grant, Okanogan and Ferry counties the unique opportunity to meet teens across NCW, share ideas and opinions, and directly impact the services that our libraries offer teens.

Applications for this volunteer advisory board must be submitted by Sept. 15.

Members will meet once a month to brainstorm and share ideas on how the library can better serve teens, help promote the library and create content for the library’s website and social media, help judge an annual teen writing contest, and be an ambassador for the library in their communities.

In addition to influencing library services, the council will give its members an opportunity to develop leadership skills, enhance college and job applications, and earn community service hours.

For more information, contact Jessica Lynch, NCW Libraries’ Teen Services Manager, at jlynch@ncwlibraries.org.
