Our Moses Lake Library will remain partially open with limited occupancy during an upcoming shelving replacement project. Sections of the library will close June 1.

Library staff anticipate reopening fully later this summer.

During this project, shelving in the Adult Fiction and Adult Non-Fiction wings of the library will be dismantled and replaced with newer, high quality, metal shelving, which will match the existing children’s area. The new shelving will be configured in a way that allows for increased mobility and visibility for browsing along with different seating areas throughout.

This project has been funded by a generous, local, anonymous donor through the Moses Lake Public Library Foundation for whom we are so grateful! NCW Libraries is also partnering with the City of Moses Lake, which owns the building and will be making improvements to the flooring and walls in conjunction with the installation of new shelving.

Throughout the project, the library will maintain normal operating hours. Staff will continue community outreach and partnerships. The children’s area of the library will remain open for browsing and programming. Preschool Storytime will be on Tuesdays from 10:30-11:30AM. Limited public computer access and seating will be available. Teen and Adult programming will require registration. Attendees can register at the library, online, or by calling the library, 509-765-3489.

A small browsing collection of adult materials including fiction and non-fiction will be available. Patrons are encouraged to utilize the hold system by placing holds on materials online that can be picked up at the library or by using the Mail Order Library service.
