Meet bestselling and award winning author Madeline Miller!
NCW Libraries presents NCW Virtual Reads with Madeline Miller on Thursday, December 10 at 7PM.
Madeline Miller’s first novel, The Song of Achilles, was awarded the 2012 Orange Prize for Fiction and was a New York Times bestseller. Her second novel, Circe, was an instant #1 New York Times bestseller. Before she was a novelist, Madeline Miller earned her BA and MA in Classics from Brown University, and she taught and tutored Latin, Greek and Shakespeare to high school students for more than fifteen years. Her novels have been translated into over twenty-five languages, and her essays have appeared in the Guardian, Wall Street Journal, Lapham’s Quarterly and on npr.org.
Through NCW Virtual Reads, NCW Libraries hopes to bring communities together through reading the same book and hosting author events that spark conversations, curiosity, and learning.
All NCW Virtual Reads events are free and open to the public. Events will be held through the Zoom digital meeting platform. To participate, register here. Registrants will receive an email with the Zoom meeting information. During this event, attendees will hear from the Madeline and then have an opportunity to submit questions for her to answer live.
Read and listen to Madeline’s books on Hoopla and Overdrive or find print and audiobook formats through our online catalog.
