Local children’s book author and illustrator, Erik Brooks, created a fun, “at home” arts instruction series on youtube. He may have posted the videos for his high school and junior high students, but that doesn’t stop us from enjoying them as well!
Dav Pilkey at Home
The Library of Congress is collaborating with Captain Underpants author and illustrator Dav Pilkey to create weekly videos for kids (and adults!) who might want to try their hand at drawing while we’re social distancing at home. The Library is releasing videos and other free downloadable activities on its website and social media pages. Activities include tips for creating your own characters or acting out scenes from Dog Man. On Friday mornings at 8 a.m. EST, Pilkey will release new videos with drawing demonstrations, reading aloud, and more.Dav Pilkey at Home can be found here:
