The Brewster Public Library will reopen on Thursday, December 14th after being closed this fall for interior updates.
Starting the 14th, the library will be open for all normal operations including browsing and checking out materials, picking up holds, returning books, etc.
A Grand Opening celebration will be hosted in mid-January. We look forward to celebrating with the community!
Our immense gratitude goes out to the City of Brewster staff and City Council members who have played a critical role in this project. They replaced flooring and did some interior painting. They poured a concrete pad and are installing a pergola for outdoor programming. Their contributions made our work possible. Due to their efforts, the Brewster Library space is so much more welcoming, accessible, and functional.
The Brewster Library is the prototype location for our Reimagining Spaces Project. The lessons learned will help inform updates at our other library locations. Through this project, we are working to ensure that all of our libraries are safe, welcoming spaces positioned to serve each of our diverse communities across North Central Washington for years to come.
