A donation to honor the memory of a local novice astronomer will help North Central Regional Library buy three new telescopes for programs and checkout later this year.
Rozanne Lind donated $1,000 to honor her late husband Peter Lind’s passion for astronomy and education. Peter Lind was a member of the Apple Valley Astronomers,
which put on regular star parties, and hosted educational programs of his own.
The donation will pay for three telescopes, cases and books. They will be used in STEM programming this summer and then will be available for checkout
by library patrons starting in the fall.
